Вестерас

Вестерас - a city in east Sweden, at a confluence of river Сварт of lake Melarna. The city of Vesteras - the centre of the Swedish electric industry, here изготовливают електрические devices, generators and engines, locomotives, extract iron and a steel.

In the Middle Ages - the trading and cultural centre, a city originally named Арос; the name has been changed on Вестра Арос in 1271. In 1527 parliament already as Вестерас. In a city прожывает approximately 124 780 persons (1998).
