Anchorage (English Anchorage) — a city in the USA, located in a southeast part of the State of Alaska. The population - over 350 thousand persons. Is the largest city on Alaska, here lives about 2/5 population of staff. The city has arisen in 1913 as settlement of builders of the railway, the Thorn-shout located on the bank of the small river and originally the Thorn-shout was called. And in 1914 it is renamed into Anchorage, large transport knot.
Anchorage - is located it at southern coast of staff, in Cook inlet. It is considered, what exactly English researcher James Cook during the third travel here has come. It also has made the first description of this earth.
