History
In 1502 on a place where now is Ангра, the Portuguese seafarers have landed. It happens on January, 6th when in Portugal Day of the King is celebrated, therefore the place has received name Angra dos Reis, that «the Royal bay» means.
Sights - that should be visited
On an input in port two small forts - Dignity-zhuan-lawn and San Sebastian tower.
Fountain Carioca Smallholding has been constructed in 1842. On local поверью, the one who will have a drink waters from the central stream of a fountain, never will leave Ангру. The old building of the mayoralty is constructed in 1871 on Praca Nilo Pecanha.
The old city of Parati – perfectly remained monument of a colonial epoch, - is to the southwest from Ангры.
