Хубсугул

The separate attention is deserved by lake Khubsugul (Ховсгол, the area 2760 sq. km.), laying in 775 km. Severo-to the west from Ulan Bator, near to the Russian border. Хубсугул - the deepest lake in the Central Asia, occupying 14 place in the world on fresh water stocks.

Local residents call its "lake-mother", as it is no wonder - in lake magnificent fishing, and neighbouring woods are occupied by a considerable quantity of wild animals. Often named "the Mongolian Switzerland", the region round lake represents the mountainous area which has grown with pine woods and magnificent mountain meadows on which yaks and horses are all year long grazed.
