Money in Mongolia

Tughrik (MNT, Tg or Tug). In circulation there are denominations face value in 10000, 5000, 1000, 500, 100, 50, 20, 10, 5, 3 and 1 tughrik, and also coins in 200, 100, 50 and 20 tughrik. US dollars informally have wide circulation in all spheres. The Russian roubles ограниченно accept only in some shops and sometimes - in the markets.

Banks and exchange offices work from 9 till and from 14.00 to 15.

In a number of shops "the governmental tax" (10 %) is raised, but usually it is considered only at restaurants of a high category and capital hotels, in the majority of places about it "at all did not hear". Some restaurants add "the commercial tax" to spirits (3-13 %) to the account.
