The communication system in the country is developed rather poorly, density of telephone lines very low (about 3,5 phones on one thousand inhabitants). Call boxes are rare even in capital, basically they can be found only in hotels and post offices. The trunk call can be made also from a telephone exchange or from a public telephone booth. Tariffs for the international negotiations are high enough (1 minute of conversation with Russia or China costs nearby $1-2, in other countries - from $3,4 to 5).

Long-distance and trunk calls outside of capital it is possible to make only from a public telephone booth (are located in post offices and on почтапмтах) or through the operator.
