Holidays of Tajikistan

The main holiday of Tajikistan is Навруз - colourful celebrating of New year which is marked, it agree древнеперсидскому to a calendar, in day of a spring equinox. After declaration of independence in Tajikistan two new holidays have been founded: Independence Day (on September, 9th) and Day of memory (on February, 12th) - in memory of victims during armed conflicts in Dushanbe in February, 1990

The important Muslim church holidays spent according to a lunar calendar, include Рамадан, Ejd-al-Fitr, Ejd-al-Azha, marked with the same awe, as well as in the majority of the Muslim countries.
