Tip makes 5-10 % from service cost. Hotels in Malaysia have an official "star" category and correspond to the highest standards of hotel service. But it is a lot of and doubtful private hotels and establishments which are constantly closed by the governmental services, but again arise in other place, therefore it is recommended to use only official hotels.
